Role Summary
- You will be a Workplace Assistant at Westminster City Council.
- You will help keep buildings and meeting rooms ready and working well.
- You will support staff, visitors, and clients every day.
- The job is temporary for up to 12 months, 36 hours per week.
Key Tasks
- Set up furniture and equipment for meetings.
- Help with audio, visual, and IT equipment in meeting rooms.
- Move deliveries, mail, and goods around the building.
- Keep spaces tidy and safe.
- Check first aid and health and safety equipment.
- Work with cleaning teams and report maintenance problems.
- Support other team members and cover when needed.
Skills And Experience
- Good customer service skills and a friendly attitude.
- Clear communication and calm under pressure.
- Able to plan and solve problems quickly.
- Experience with events and basic IT support is important.
- Organised and able to work alone or in a team.
- Able to work flexible hours and lift heavy loads safely.
- Understand confidentiality, health and safety, and emergency rules.
Pay And Hours
- Salary is between £30,225 and £30,654 per year.
- Pay can be more depending on your experience.
- The job is 36 hours a week.
- Temporary contract up to 12 months.
Location And Workplace
- Work location is 4 Frampton Street, Westminster, London NW8 8LF.
- You will work in offices with a supportive and diverse team.
