Role Summary
- The General Medical Council (GMC) wants one new member for its Investment Committee.
- The member will help manage a £63 million investment fund.
- The job lasts for four years at first.
- The GMC checks that doctors and similar workers in the UK are good and safe.
Key Tasks
- Help make decisions about investments.
- Work on managing risks and reviewing how investments do.
- Attend four meetings each year in London.
- Sometimes attend extra meetings if asked.
- Follow rules and be honest at all times.
Skills And Experience
- Know a lot about investing money and funds.
- Experience from working with investments or reporting on them.
- Useful to know about fixed income and multi-asset funds.
- Understand ethical issues in investing.
- Be able to think ahead and work well with others.
- Follow the GMC code of conduct and public life rules.
Pay And Hours
- The job needs at least four days a year plus time to get ready for meetings.
Location And Workplace
- Meetings happen in London.
- You need to be able to travel there.
