Role summaryRole Summary
  • You will work as an Engineer at Walk Wheel Cycle Trust (WWCT).
  • You will use your skills to complete technical tasks with little help.
  • Your work will help deliver projects that support walking, wheeling, and cycling.
  • You will work with a team of designers, engineers, and specialists to improve places.
Key tasksKey Tasks
  • Manage simple projects from start to finish using the RIBA plan (Royal Institute of British Architects).
  • Create accurate technical reports and designs.
  • Work with colleagues, partners, and authorities during projects.
  • Help prepare project proposals for new business.
Skills and experienceSkills And Experience
  • You should have a degree or similar in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Urban Design, or similar.
  • Or have at least 5 years’ experience in a relevant job.
  • Know how to use design software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Understand healthy street design and inclusive design principles.
  • Know about health and safety rules, including CDM Regulations (Construction Design and Management).
  • Work in ways that keep children and adults safe.
Pay and hoursPay And Hours
  • Full time is 37.5 hours each week.
  • We can talk about flexible working hours.
  • Pay is £33,265 per year plus £1,412 as a market supplement.
  • Part-time pay is less, based on hours worked.
Location and workplaceLocation And Workplace
  • You can work from home and from any UK office that you can travel to easily.
  • This is a hybrid working job (some days working at home, some at office).
