Role Summary
- We want a new independent trustee for our board.
- You will bring new ideas and fair judgement.
- You should know about charity laws and rules.
Key Tasks
- Help guide the Council’s strategy and future plans.
- Make sure the Council follows its rules and laws.
- Oversee the money and help keep the Council stable.
- Protect the Council and help find new income sources.
- Work well with the Chair, board members, and senior staff.
Skills And Experience
- Want to learn about the Council and health education.
- Good communication skills and being inclusive.
- Think strategically and give advice and support.
- Work well with different people inside and outside the Council.
- Preferably have experience in senior roles or charity boards.
Pay And Hours
- This is a voluntary role - no pay.
- You can get travel costs paid back.
- Attend 4 board meetings each year (mostly online).
- Attend 1 or 2 meetings in London and strategy day.
- You may go to the annual general meeting and others.
- There will be training days and full induction.
Location And Workplace
- Meetings are mostly online.
- Some meetings and training are in central London offices.
