  • The job is to be a member of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) board.
  • HFEA is the UK regulator for fertility treatment and embryo research.
  • One member will also be the Chair of the Audit and Governance Committee (AGC).
  • You will help make sure fertility treatments are safe and trusted.

  • Give advice, support, and ask questions when needed.
  • Make smart and fair decisions based on good information.
  • Help keep public and professional confidence in HFEA.
  • If Chair of AGC, lead on checking finances and risks.

  • Have a strong career with senior experience in private, public, or voluntary sector.
  • Be good at working with others on a board.
  • Have clear thinking and good judgement skills.
  • Communicate well and build trust with others.
  • For Professional member: be a senior fertility doctor or researcher.
  • For AGC Chair: have senior experience in finance or governance.
Pay and HoursPay And Hours
  • You will get £7,883 per year.
  • If you are AGC Chair, you get £13,137 per year.
  • The job takes about three days each month.
  • Appointments can last up to 3 years.

  • You will attend board meetings and committee meetings.
