Role summaryRole Summary
  • Lead neighbourhood services for about 10,000 homes in Thamesmead, London.
  • Manage housing and neighbourhood teams to give great service.
  • Work from local offices mostly, around 4 or more days a week.
  • Make sure residents’ needs and hopes are always a priority.
Key tasksKey Tasks
  • Set and check how well services are working and improve them.
  • Manage the yearly budget for neighbourhood services.
  • Lead projects that improve services and customer satisfaction.
  • Work well with partners, outside agencies, and local groups.
  • Ensure there is good help available outside office hours.
  • Keep services good value for money.
  • Stay up-to-date with laws and best ways to manage homes and communities.
  • Support and develop your team to meet high goals.
  • Check services regularly to catch and fix problems early.
  • Coordinate with other teams providing services like repairs and community support.
Skills and experienceSkills And Experience
  • Experience managing housing services and teams well.
  • Good decision maker with smart and new ideas for service.
  • Strong communication skills for reports and presentations.
  • Knowledge of community safety, tenant and leaseholder issues.
  • Experience working with official and voluntary groups.
  • Proven success in improving customer-focused services.
  • Ability to lead and support people through changes.
  • Good at managing projects with different teams.
  • Know housing laws and regulations.
Pay and hoursPay And Hours
  • Salary details are based on experience (contact employer for info).
  • 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Two paid days to volunteer each year.
