Role Summary
- This job is called Principal Data Architect at Natural Resources Wales (NRW).
- You will help use technology to protect nature in Wales.
- You will lead how technology is planned and used in the organisation.
- You work with many people to make sure technology works well and is easy to use.
Key Tasks
- Set rules for how digital and technology solutions are built.
- Work with leaders and teams on big projects and new ideas.
- Help create common ways to build and share digital services.
- Work with partners, suppliers, and public groups to share data safely.
- Manage one Lead Data Engineer and guide others on technical quality.
- Ensure technology choices save money and work well together.
Skills And Experience
- Experience in leading technical teams and projects.
- Good at planning digital services and technology strategies.
- Able to work with different partners and suppliers.
- Skilled in supervising staff and managing technology solutions.

- Working hours are flexible with some office days.
- Regular meetings or training will be planned ahead.
Location And Workplace
- You will work mainly at an NRW office in South Wales.
- You can work part of the time from home (hybrid working).
- You will join a small skilled team focused on technology.
