Role summaryRole Summary
  • We need an Office Assistant to join our team.
  • You will help barristers and support our office.
  • You need to be organised and work well in a busy place.
  • We want someone who works well with others and can handle pressure.
Key tasksKey Tasks
  • Prepare and organise legal papers and bundles for cases.
  • Help take papers to and from court.
  • Sort incoming mail and send outgoing mail.
  • Book cars or couriers when needed.
  • Print, scan, and copy many documents quickly.
  • Set up meeting rooms, which may include moving furniture.
  • Answer phones and cover reception sometimes.
  • Keep shared areas tidy and clean.
  • Store files and prepare boxes for storage.
  • Help with evening events and office tasks.
  • This job needs some lifting and being on your feet.
Skills and experienceSkills And Experience
  • Good at using Microsoft Office like Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with some legal software is a plus but not needed.
  • Must be organised and able to handle deadlines.
  • Good at talking and writing with others professionally.
  • Can work alone and in a team.
  • Pays attention to details and is trustworthy.
  • Energetic and able to learn fast.
  • Positive attitude and a sense of humour.
Pay and hoursPay And Hours
  • Salary starts at £31,713 plus benefits.
  • Full-time job, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6:00 pm on a rota.
  • 22 days holiday plus extra days and bank holidays.
  • Benefits include travel loans, bike and electric car schemes, and pension.

  • Work is at Gray’s Inn, Central London.
  • You will work in a friendly, busy office.
