Role Summary
- You will be the Project Manager for the National Cycle Network.
- Your job is to lead projects to make walking and cycling easier and safer.
- You will work with many different people and organisations.
- This is a full-time, permanent job with flexible hours.
Key Tasks
- Plan and manage cycle and walking path projects from start to finish.
- Lead teams and help everyone work well together.
- Build good relationships with landowners, local councils, and volunteers.
- Organise community events to include local people’s ideas.
- Help plan the future of the National Cycle Network.
- Monitor project progress and share reports.
- Travel to different locations for project work.
Skills And Experience
- Good at managing complex projects on time and budget.
- Able to build strong partnerships with many groups.
- Know about walking and cycling path design and safety rules.
- Able to work with different teams and help plan long-term projects.
- Can understand and use data to show project success.
- Experience with fundraising and budgets is a plus.
Pay And Hours
- Salary is £33,265 per year (less if part-time).
- Full time is 37.5 hours per week.
- Flexible working hours can be discussed.
Location And Workplace
- Job is based in East of England: Essex, Suffolk, Cambridge, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk.
- Hybrid working: part office, part home.
- Lots of travel to project sites.
