Role Summary
- You will work to protect freshwater fish in North-West Wales.
- You will do outdoor and office work.
- You will check the health of rivers and fish between June and October.
Key Tasks
- Watch and monitor fish in rivers.
- Use electric fishing to check fish safely.
- Train new workers and look after the equipment.
- Collect and store data carefully.
- Write reports using your findings.
- Give advice to local groups and others interested in fish.
- Make newsletters and help with river information.
Skills And Experience
- Experience in checking and studying fish in water.
- Good at reading and writing reports.
- Able to use data to help protect nature.
- Comfortable working outside, near or in water.
- Able to travel to remote places and drive a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
- Must have a full UK driving licence.
Pay And Hours
- The job offers flexible working hours.
- You will work partly from the office and partly from home.
- You will plan your work with your manager.
Location And Workplace
- Based in North-West Wales.
- Work in the office, home, and outdoor river sites.
- Travel to places without public transport.
