Key tasksKey Tasks
  • Use computer models to check air quality and noise from industries.
  • Be an expert on air and noise models for health and safety rules.
  • Help NRW staff with advice to make local decisions fair and correct.
  • Explain complex data to technical and non-technical people.
  • Develop tools to analyse and report environmental information.
  • Do health and safety tasks as needed.
  • Join incident response activities when required.
Skills and experienceSkills And Experience
  • Have lots of experience with air quality and noise modelling for rules.
  • Be good at analysing model results.
  • Communicate clearly and work well in a team.
  • Hold a degree in a subject with maths or numbers.
  • Basic Welsh language skills (A1 level) are needed; training provided.
Pay and hoursPay And Hours
  • Good pay with yearly increases.
  • 28 days holiday, increasing to 33 days.
  • Civil Service Pension with employer contributions of 28.97%.

  • Work mainly from the nearest NRW office to your home.
