Role Summary
- Work to help improve air quality and reduce noise in Wales.
- Join Natural Resources Wales (NRW) and use modelling to study air and noise impact.
- Give advice and find practical solutions for environmental rules.
- Flexible working is supported with time in the office near your home.
Key Tasks
- Use computer models to check air quality and noise from industries.
- Be an expert on air and noise models for health and safety rules.
- Help NRW staff with advice to make local decisions fair and correct.
- Explain complex data to technical and non-technical people.
- Develop tools to analyse and report environmental information.
- Do health and safety tasks as needed.
- Join incident response activities when required.
Skills And Experience
- Have lots of experience with air quality and noise modelling for rules.
- Be good at analysing model results.
- Communicate clearly and work well in a team.
- Hold a degree in a subject with maths or numbers.
- Basic Welsh language skills (A1 level) are needed; training provided.
Pay And Hours
- Good pay with yearly increases.
- 28 days holiday, increasing to 33 days.
- Civil Service Pension with employer contributions of 28.97%.

Location And Workplace
- Work mainly from the nearest NRW office to your home.
