Role Summary
- You will help protect peatlands in Wales using remote sensing and modelling.
- Remote sensing means using satellites and aerial pictures to study the land.
- Modelling means using computer programs to understand land and plan restoration.
Key Tasks
- Lead projects using satellite and aerial data to support peatland work.
- Turn complex data into clear and useful information.
- Work with others in different organisations to improve remote sensing use.
- Write easy-to-understand reports and give presentations.
- Keep up with new technology and ideas in remote sensing and modelling.
Skills And Experience
- Know how to work with satellite and aerial images.
- Use tools like GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and R (a computer language).
- Good at explaining technical information simply.
- Able to manage projects and work with different teams.
