Role summaryRole Summary
  • You will be the Chair of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA).
  • HFEA is the UK group that checks fertility treatments and embryo research.
  • You will help HFEA do its work well and follow government rules.
  • You will work closely with the Chief Executive and other members.
Key tasksKey Tasks
  • Make sure HFEA meets its legal duties and government goals.
  • Help good cooperation between HFEA and other important groups.
  • Support and guide all members of the Authority.
  • Give advice about Authority members’ work to the Department of Health and Social Care.
Skills and experienceSkills And Experience
  • Have strong experience leading senior teams in private, public, or charity groups.
  • Be able to lead a national public group and make good decisions.
  • Be able to understand complex information and decide based on facts.
  • Be good at talking and working with others.
  • You cannot be a doctor or anyone involved in fertility treatment or research.
Pay and hoursPay And Hours
  • You will get £47,360 per year.
  • You will work about 2 to 3 days each week.
  • The job can last up to 3 years.
