Role Summary
- You will lead work on environmental permits for the Wylfa Nuclear Power Station.
- You will support industries in Wales to follow environmental laws.
- Your work will protect nature and public health in Wales.
- You will use your science skills to check permit applications.
Key Tasks
- Help with permit applications from start to finish.
- Lead technical checks for big industrial projects.
- Decide if permits should be given, refused, or changed.
- Answer difficult questions and speak at public events.
- Work with other nuclear safety groups and project teams.
- Support and teach your team members.
- Make work processes better and include sustainable ideas.
Skills And Experience
- Good knowledge of science, especially chemistry, engineering, and maths.
- Experience with environmental laws and permits.
- Able to assess complex technical documents.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
Pay And Hours
- Flexible working hours are supported.
- You will have a contract for the closest office to your home.
- Hybrid working, mixing office and home work, is possible.
Location And Workplace
- Nearest Natural Resources Wales (NRW) office to your home.
- Some meetings will be face to face and planned in advance.
- Interview will be online using Microsoft Teams.
