Role summaryRole Summary
  • You will be the Project Manager for the National Cycle Network (NCN).
  • You will help plan and deliver projects to improve places for walking, wheeling, and cycling in the Midlands.
  • You will work with many people, like local councils and community groups.
  • Your work will make walking, wheeling and cycling safer and easier for everyone.
Key tasksKey Tasks
  • Lead projects to design and build better paths and routes.
  • Work well with partners to deliver agreed projects from the Network Development Plan.
  • Find new project ideas and help turn them into real projects.
  • Write reports and give presentations to keep people informed.
Skills and experienceSkills And Experience
  • You should have at least 2 years of relevant experience or 5 years in transport or active travel.
  • Know about walking, wheeling, and cycling infrastructure and best practices.
  • Be able to manage projects well, including planning and checking progress.
  • Have experience in helping with bids and budget plans.
  • Be able to work safely with people of all ages, including children and adults at risk.
Pay and hoursPay And Hours
  • Full-time work, 37.5 hours each week.
  • Salary is £33,265 a year (less if part-time).
  • We are open to flexible working.

  • This is a permanent job.
  • You can work partly from home and partly from your nearest Walk Wheel Cycle Hub.
