Role Summary
- You will be the Chief Information Security Officer at the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
- DBS helps keep communities safe and protects vulnerable people in the UK.
- Your job is to lead and manage all security and data protection work.
- You will make sure security and privacy are part of daily work and big projects.
- You will also work as the Data Protection Officer, giving advice about keeping information safe.
Key Tasks
- Create and follow a strong security plan for DBS.
- Help the executive team and leaders understand security risks.
- Manage how the organisation handles security threats and risks.
- Make sure the organisation can quickly respond to security problems.
- Teach workers about security and their role in protecting DBS services.

- Have lots of experience in security, cyber security, and data protection.
- Be good at working with senior leaders and boards.
- Know how to manage big security risks.
- Communicate clearly about security issues.
- Use good judgement and understand business needs.
