Role Summary
- The Chair leads the UK Health Security Agency, called UKHSA.
- UKHSA protects the UK from diseases and environmental dangers.
- The Chair works with the Chief Executive and helps the board.
- They speak for UKHSA and work with important partners.
Key Tasks
- Support and challenge the Chief Executive.
- Make sure the board works well.
- Work with the leadership team to meet goals.
- Be an ambassador for UKHSA.
- Help the board with good decision making and accountability.
Skills And Experience
- Strong leadership experience in private, public, or volunteering jobs.
- Understand how UKHSA helps stop and respond to health threats.
- Have good communication skills and sound judgement.
- Can lead a national public group well.
Pay And Hours
- You will be paid £21,000 per year.
- The role needs 3 to 4 days of work each month.
- The job can last up to 4 years.
Location And Workplace
- UKHSA is part of the Department of Health and Social Care.
