Role Summary
- Work in a team that looks after UK Corporate Governance Code and Stewardship Code.
- Help improve rules for how companies and investors behave.
- Check reports from companies and investors to make sure they follow the codes.
- Write reports and work with other groups outside the organisation.
- Support junior team members and work with leaders.
Key Tasks
- Check reports from UK companies and investors to see if they follow good practices.
- Write parts of yearly reports about corporate governance and stewardship.
- Review applications from investors who want to join the Stewardship Code.
- Support bigger private companies with good governance principles called Wates Principles.
- Read and summarise research and policy papers for senior team members.
- Attend meetings and help with planning and communication.
- Work with other teams to promote good governance and support change.
Skills And Experience
- Know about UK corporate governance and stewardship rules.
- Experience in governance, stewardship, or policy work.
- Good with Microsoft programs and technology.
- Able to work well with others inside and outside the organisation.
- Good at writing and speaking clearly about complex topics.
- Able to spot trends and give clear advice.
- Can manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Able to lead junior team members.
- Flexible and comfortable with change.
- Can work well with a team in different locations.
