We are a specialist provider of quality housing and support services, typically helping over 1,000 people at any one time from vulnerable backgrounds across the North West, Midlands, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and North Wales. Our mission statement is ‘Restoring hope and dignity’, and we help our residents and service users lead independent lives and integrate into the world of work.  Formed to benefit communities and based on our founder’s Christian values, Adullam’s work continues today as an expression of Christian faith in action.

We are now looking for a new Chair who strongly identifies with our ethos and values, and who will bring outstanding leadership skills to our highly committed Board. This is an opportunity to influence our future success, helping us to build even stronger partner relationships to provide housing and support for some of society’s most vulnerable groups. We are financially strong, committed to remaining independent and immensely proud that people have been at the heart of everything we’ve done over the past 50 years.

Our new Chair will be a practising Christian who brings strategic leadership experience from customer focused and regulated sectors. Either an established or aspirational Chair, you’ll be team-focused, energetic and demonstrate commitment to our social purpose. With an inclusive style that promotes diversity of thought and collaborative decision-making, you’ll be an excellent communicator with a wide range of stakeholders. If you’re a first time Chair, help and support will be available to you.

This is a senior leadership role at Adullam Homes Housing Association Limited and there is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a committed and practising Christian. Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 applies to this post. The time commitment is expected to be two or three days per month.
