Trustee and Non-Executive Director

As a voluntary Trustee and Non-Executive Director of Anjali Dance Company, you will join a dynamic, values-led Board shaping a future where learning disabled artists are seen, celebrated, and leading high-quality arts experiences.

You will contribute to the organisation`s strategic direction, ensuring strong governance, financial sustainability, and accountability, while upholding the charity`s mission and values. Working collaboratively with fellow Trustees and the executive team, you will provide independent oversight, constructive challenge, and sound judgment to support effective decision-making.

This role requires strategic thinking, objectivity, and a deep commitment to centring the voices and lived experiences of learning disabled people. You will play a vital part in navigating opportunities and risks, responding to a changing external landscape, and maximising the charity`s impact.

As part of a collaborative and inclusive Board, you will help create an accessible environment where all contributions are valued. You will support a culture of openness, integrity, and respectful challenge, ensuring governance is not only oversight, but leadership in action.

Board meetings take place online every 8-10 weeks, with a standard term of three years.
