How Leading Employers Review and Refine Inclusion Best Practice

Diversity Jobsite, in collaboration with Diversity Network, has released findings from a recent poll aimed at uncovering how organisations conduct reviews of their diversity best practices. The insights provide a revealing snapshot into the evolving strategies employers use to ensure workplace equality.

The poll asked a simple yet powerful question: “How do you conduct diversity best practices reviews?”

Responses showed a diverse mix of methods:

• 35% of employers said they outsource the task to diversity specialists, recognising the value of professional insight and expertise.

• 30% prefer to conduct focus groups, creating space for internal dialogue and employee engagement.

• 20% rely on social media platforms to crowdsource quick opinions from broader audiences.

• 15% admitted, “I don’t know,” indicating uncertainty and highlighting a need for clearer guidance and resources.

These results reflect both the challenges and opportunities faced by employers striving to enhance inclusion within their organisations.

“As diversity and inclusion become increasingly central to workplace success, companies must adopt intentional, effective strategies for assessment,” said a spokesperson for Diversity Jobsite.

“This poll reinforces the importance of combining expert guidance with genuine internal engagement.”
